Pastor Cheryl D. Blake is the third child born to Margaret and the late Lee Randolph. She is a native Washingtonian, and received her natural life education through, and is a graduate of, the District of Columbia Public School System. Pastor Cheryl has been employed with the Department of Defense for more than 30 years.

She attended the Naval Communications Officer's School in Newport, Rhode Island, the Defense Acquisition University, and the Information Resource Management College, Ft. McNair, Washington, DC, and is currently a Telecommunications Specialist for the Defense Information Systems Agency.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age, and was baptized at the Glendale Baptist Church in Washington, DC (currently The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square, Capitol Heights, Maryland). She sang in the choirs, ushered, served as a Junior Missionary, and just enjoyed being a part of the move of God, even at an early age. During her tenure at Glendale, she served as President of the Missionary Ministry, Vice President of the Women's Ministry, and coordinator of the Women's Retreats for several years.

As she continued to serve as a committed and obedient servant unto God, He continued to reveal His purpose and will for her life. In January, 1998, as a result of God's calling, she uncompromisingly accepted the call to preach the Gospel. She has received ministerial training through the Reach Out for Life Christian Center (ROFLCC) Institute for Christian Learning, ministerial workshops and seminars, and was licensed on May 1, 1998. During her brief tenure at ROFLCC, she served on the ministerial staff, implemented the Self Help and Resources Exchange (SHARE) Program on that foundation, and was the director of the Women's Ministry.

She is married to Bishop Melvin E. Blake, Jr. and they are blessed with three children - Regan, Ebonie, and Lamar. Pastor Cheryl currently serves with her husband, who is the founding and presiding Pastor of In His Image Christian Ministries (IHICM), which is located in Clinton, Maryland. Because of her increased commitment and faith in God, she heeded the call, and assumed the position of Pastor of IHICM, in October, 2001. God is continuously using her as an instrument for birthing various aspects of ministry in order to enhance, as well as, reach the hearts and lives of people. She has spoken at women's retreats, conferences, fellowships, and other forums in order to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She lives by the principle that "she can do all things through Jesus Christ that strengthens her." (Phil. 4:13) Her fundamental purpose in life is to live so that others might see Christ, and desire to become His True Disciple.

Pastor Cheryl is a woman of faith, integrity, and humility. She is one who wholeheartedly believes that "faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1); and walks thereby with all confidence in Him who has called, chosen, and anointed her for His Glory.

She is known as an uncompromising preacher and teacher of the Gospel; and is not ashamed to testify about the seasons in her life to help someone else. As the Spirit wills, she makes herself available to all, and is known as a confidant and vessel of integrity. Anyone who has been in her presence at any given time has no doubt heard the echo of her heartfelt sentiments "Iron sharpens iron," (Prov. 27:17) and "TO GOD BE THE GLORY" in and for all things.
